Ode to an ol' lady

She walked the earth alone
She lived life in solitude
She left in utter stillness
Alone and lonely...

She wasn't born into loneliness
But she came to this land
Without any hands to cling to
And fate chose her
To become one with silence

She married a man
With great fortune
Building their fortress
Too soon...too soon
He left the mortal life
Leaving her to reminisce
All alone...and lonely

She bore princes and princesses
Ten of them all
Some left home...almost forever
Yet called back by "duty"
The very last one
She left this world
Alone...and lonely

She's a stubborn ol' lady
Ain't gonna leave her palace
Ain't wanna stay with her offsprings
Till one day,
Silent, she lay still

They loved her
But too little time with her
Nobody expected this
'Tis her final day
Alone and lonely
She stayed in bed

She touched her hands
Icy cold
She screamed
Hysterical
There she lay
In silence and peace
All alone...lonely and cold

p/s: first draft...need to edit the grammar and "fix" some words here and there...

Heyo missy, could you pls drop by my blog and leave your opinions on my latest post? And if you'd pass it on to other ppl, so much the better. Need feedback. Thanks.

BTW, I'm not exactly a fan of poetry ... but I think this poem, well, what's the motive? It doesn't stir me, I just see words. Sorry dear.
